Ted Scripps Scholarships and Lecture
University of Nevada, Reno

Edward W. (Ted) Scripps II is remembered at his alma mater, the University of Nevada, through an annual lecture, dinner and scholarship program. At the 2008 dinner, five students were presented the Ted Scripps medal and $3,000 scholarships. Linda Deutsch, Associated Press special correspondent from Los Angeles, delivered the lecture.

 

The 45th Ted Scripps Dinner and Lecture will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in the new Joe Crowley Student Union on campus. Edie Lederer, Associated Press' senior foreign war correspondent will be the guest speaker.
